• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.
  • We’re working on enhancing the Monitoring feature in Plesk, and we could really use your expertise! If you’re open to sharing your experiences with server and website monitoring or providing feedback, we’d love to have a one-hour online meeting with you.

hi! is it possible to whitelist incoming mail while using rbl's ?

i'm using 3 rbl (ordb/spamcop/spamhaus) to filter some spam but a few customers are having problems receiving emails from certain hosts...

thanks

At what point are you invoking the RBL's, usually whitelisting at the SMTP level (aka: qmail) bypasses any RBL or spam filtering since the MTA gets ahold of email first for transport inbound/outbound.

So most likely the answer to your question is yes, whitelisting will bypass your spam filters.

AFAIK, the only want to whitelist an IP blocked by an RBL is to run your own whitelist dns server.

rblsmtpd (used by MAPS in the Plesk server config) supports a command line that will check a whitelist server. If you aren't using it, well... I dunno :)
