  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Question to cron.hourly plesksetup

Azurel

Silver Pleskian
On my server (from hosteurope.de) is this file "/etc/cron.hourly/he-plesksetup" with this content:
#!/bin/sh
VERSION="11.0.9"

config() {
if /usr/local/psa/bin/init_conf -c; then

if [ ! "$(echo $VERSION|awk -F. '{print }')" -lt "10" ]
then
/usr/local/psa/bin/server_pref --set-default -locale en-US
fi

/usr/local/psa/bin/mailserver --use-vocabulary true
/usr/local/psa/bin/mailserver --set-message-submission true
/usr/local/psa/bin/server_dns --update-server -recursion localhost
rm -f "`readlink -f $0`"
fi
}

config >/var/log/he_plesksetup.log 2>&1

The initial setup on this server was plesk 11.0.9, but I upgraded to 11.5.30 long time ago. Must I change "VERSION" or somethings?

Hi,

this script is no longer required.
It's only part of the initial Setup.

You can actually delete it.
Normally is should delete itself, which it hasn't for some reason :)

Regards,
Kristian
