  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Question Red5 Media Server Install for Plesk

I need to install Red5 Media server for my server. Is there another option? I know that Plesk likes to move things around the when Plesk is installed. Or is it better to use a docker?

Hi Steve,

This post is kind of old, but I still wanted to share an update here. Using Docker is a great option for installing the Red5 media server, especially when dealing with environments like Plesk that may change configurations. Docker helps keep the setup isolated and more manageable. You can check out the official Red5 Docker repository here: GitHub - Red5/docker: Docker + Red5 items. It should simplify deployment and make maintenance easier. Hope that helps!
