Hi,

starting with the latest version, the database overview has been adjusted. This adjustment is described with the words: The new interface is modern, robust, and user-friendly.

Redesigned the way databases are displayed in Dynamic List view. The new interface is modern, robust, and user-friendly, offering smooth and fast transitions thanks to the use of drawers. This update marks a long-awaited step toward a unified experience based on Dynamic List view, paving the way for the eventual removal of the outdated Classic and Active list views.

I am a frontend developer myself and I cannot agree with this. The new interface looks uglier than the old one. Especially those weird icons don't fit at all. I found the previous design much nicer.

Hello, @enerspace . Thank you for your feedback. Our team is already working on redesigning the Database Interface and the positioning of the phpMyAdmin button. The fix is planned for a release with the next minor Plesk update which should occur in the following days.

Good to hear phpMyAdmin get's a new position on the redesign. It got pretty hidden in the current design, which makes it pretty hard to explain to customers which button to need to click to open phpMyAdmin :)

Another pet peeve I have with the design is that the card collapses/closes as soon as you try to select the database name text to copy it. Which is an action I frequently perform, as I need to copy the database name (along with the other connection details) to a configuration file of an website or app. (I assume other users do too).

@enerspace Just a follow-up, the fix I was referring to was released today and an additional phpMyAdmin button will now be present in the the database card. It was my misunderstanding that a change will also be applied to the phpMyAdmin shortcut icon at the upper-right corner and I would like to apologize for possibly misleading you. At this point, the icons there will remain as they are because this aligns better with the elements used in Dynamic List view in terms of consistency with the rest of the Plesk interface.

@Kaspar I will follow-up with more details on your inquiry as soon as I have confirmation.

@Kaspar , a case for re-working the behavior with the expanding/collapsing database card has been logged. The bug ID is PPPM-14940. Currently, I cannot provide an ETA. Thank you for reporting the issue.

@Kaspar , our team reworked the behavior of the Database interface in Plesk 18.0.70 - a copy link has been included and the menu no longer expands/collapses when the database name is marked.

Fixed a UX issue where selecting a database name expanded or collapsed its interface section. (PPPM-14940)

Thank you for your input.

@enerspace apologies for spamming your thread that was initially for a different report. I should have split it to a separate one earlier.
