redirected mail problem

Situation: email redirection set from one mailbox on one domain to one on another domain. Email forwards correctly but the original email remains in the first mailbox. Because this is not a monitored mailbox, it eventually fills and starts bouncing.

How does one configure the system to delete mail after redirecting?

Try to untick the mailbox, but enable redirection.
