• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

On plesk 7.5.5 the plesk backup program, the remote backup ftp always give a password error, seems sending it different then typing it.

remote ftp logs it as bad password also, password is correct normal ftp client works without problems.
Tried different ftp servers.

Is this a big or am I the only one having these problems?

Same issue here, installed an FTP client on the server, and it can connect with that username and password information without any problems. FTP Server logs show a bad password being sent.

Probably problem in FTP mode on server. You should try to switch mode (active\passive)

Gave a try using PASV and non-PASV clients on the host. Also, the connection does appear in the FTP server logs, and it records a password error.

This has been fixed in 7.5.6 nothing todo with pasv, normally pasv give listing problems.
