Removing 'Bold' IP from IP Address Management

Hi ...

I've tried a search around, but can't figure out how to remove a 'bold' IP address from the IP Address Management page in PLESK. I used the address 192.168.0.8 as a temporary IP, while I migrated my server but, now that my migration is complete, this IP address remains in my IP list (highlighted in bold), with it's selection box greyed out.

I've tried using reconfigurator.pl, but it just tells me that there is no mapping to be performed - which is true - 192.168.0.8 is not being used by anything.

Any help in this matter would be appreciated.

I believe you have to first set a different IP as the primary/default, then that IP will then be in bold. Once done, you should then be able to select the old IP (now not in bold) and remove it.

Where do you set the primary/default IP?

This may help.

That I know of the reconfigurator.pl script is the only way to set the default, but I've seen issues where it doesn't want to work properly in PSA 8.x.

I wrote the above instructions for FreeBSD, but it can be applied to any OS.

Cool, thanks guys ... worked a treat!

With all the horror stories going around about upgrading to plesk 8 I was surprised, and a little scared, that this was the only 'problem' I encountered on my migration process.

Thanks,
Tony.
