• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Resolved Rename a SQL database and missing option...

raykai

Basic Pleskian
Hi,

Im trying to rename a database but i see no button for this option in plesk even tho this option was planed way back in 2014 https://plesk.uservoice.com/forums/184549-feature-suggestions/suggestions/3700423-rename-database

so i tried with the button phpmyadmin next to the database in question then i :
click on the name of the DB > Operations tab > Rename database to....
then i enter the name i want then i click on Go

but i get a error : #1044 - Access denied for user '****'@'localhost' to database 'DB NAME'

so i tried an other-way:
plesk panel > Tools & Settings > Database Servers > click on the tool icon
did like the other time it works but then if i go back to the Plesk panel > Website @ domain > go to the domain in question > databases.

it still shows the old DB name and if i click on phpmyadmin it gives me a empty list of DB....

so how is the correct way to rename a DB in plesk ?
