Replacing qmail-psa

Hello, I'd like to ask a newbie question.

First, I've posted recently about issues I am having with Plesk's Qmail. Although I have SMTP to auth., if I set my mail client to also use SMTP auth., I get an error that my server doesn't support it. I can send mail if I turn off SMTP auth. in my email client. My host has looked at everything and can't seem to find the problem.

I'm stumped as well.

So, now I am pondering my next move.

From what I understand, standard Qmail does not support SMTP auth., however the version that SW-Soft provides for Plesk has it built-in. Via the terminal, is there a way to confirm my server support SMTP auth. in its Qmail version? If it doesn't, then the mystery is solved.

Perhaps the next step would be to remove qmail-psa, and re-install it.

If I reinstall it, my choices seem to be:
1) Use qmail-psa

2) http://www.qmailtoaster.com/ which has support for SMTP auth.

3) http://www.qmailrocks.org/ which also has support fo SMTP auth.

4) I seem to recall that http://www.atomicrocketturtle.com/ might have qmail rpms. However, I'm not sure of the link is for what I exactly need. I'm running FC 2 on an Opteron. (Plesk 7.5.3)

Qmail Rocks looks nice, but has SpamAssasin built-in. Since Plesk already has SpamAssasin, is it wise to use Qmail Rocks?

QmailToaster seems to be exactly what I would need.

Any comments of either of my 3 choices?

Finally, I have to ask, any opinions on not running Qmail and replacing it with Postfix? Bottomline is that I just want something that works. :(

Thanks so much for any help.
