  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Reseller setup !?

Hi -

I have setup a reseller in Plesk and given him 3 GB diskplace to use.
My reseller then adds his plans and domains. My reseller use 500 MB plans. Problem now is that reseller cant add more than 6 domains with 500 MB plans ( 6 x 500 = 3 GB ) Now he gets out of discspace error.
- even as his customers dont all together use no more than 100 MB. Assigning big plans is more likely a sales tricks, as it looks nice but customers dont use all resources.

In Plesk - is it not possible to add more plans/domains in this situation. Does Plesk count assigned diskplace and not actually used diskplace? Any workaround?

Please advice me on this?

Kind r.

Bjørn.

Hi -

it was no workaround for this when I asked Swsoft some time ago.
I hade to give reseller more or unlimited diskspace, but then only bill for example 3 GB.

Hello Bjørn,

Thank you for the report.

Unfortunately you cannot allow Plesk client to sell more resources than he has because Plesk does not support overselling yet.
However the feature is scheduled for the next major Plesk 9.x version.
