Restore domain from 7.5 to 8.0.1

I tried to restore a domain backup file from our company's old server (Plesk 7.5) to our new Virtual Dedicated Server (Plesk 8.0.1). The backup file uploaded successfully but the system doesn't recognise this as a backup file so I cannot restore it. Is it possible to transfer our domains from the old server using that way (Backup/Restore between two Plesk systems) ? It is very important for us to speed up the transfer, so we'd like to avoid the manually transfer (ftp, databases, mail settings etc).

Any Suggestions?

The 7.5.4 backup will not restore on an 8.0.x system. You could try to update the old server to 8.0.1 and then use the PMM to migrate everything to the new server. If you contact Plesk they will give you a temporary key to make this happen.

Migration is your best bet. Worked like a charm for me. If you don't want to go the PMM route you can extract from the backup file itself but it's not easy to do so as the files are not stored in an easy to access format.
