• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Roundcube webmail "could not save new password"

iantresman

Basic Pleskian
Running Plesk 11.5 with updated #13. In Roundcube | Settings | Password, when I enter my current password, and a new one, on clicking Save, I get an error message "could not save new password". Is there something I have to enable in Plesk to enable this to work?

It would also be nice if Roundcube provided an option to (a) auto-generate "strong" passwords (b) Email to a second email address, a password reset. These would make Roundcube more secure, and reduce customer service queries on lost passwords.

This may be because my host has disabled the mail server while they identify a source of spam. Will see whether it makes a difference when it is re-enabled.
