  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Running concurrent MySQL-Servers with PSA

Hi!

I have a server with PSA 7.5.2 and Suse 9.1 and I built a second mysql server on this machine using a different port and socket.
Everything runs fine when I start the second server manually. Neither the first mysql server nor PSA is affected.

Now I like to start the second server at system boot time. I used Yast Runlevel Editor to configure the second server to start at run level 3. I rebooted the system and first mysql server and PSA failed to load.

"boot.msg" log is:

Error: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql
Error: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql

Since everything runs fine when I start the second server manually I guess I need to start this server after all other services. Does anyone know how I can solve this?

Best regards

JO
