Runs out of memory on mails with attachments larger then 5MB

If I send an email larger then 5MB to my own account the server gives an error to the mail-client: Out of Memory! (Running vmstat I see a free amount of at least 150MB.)
Only an empty message with this header arrives:
From [email protected] Sun Aug 26 14:55:26 2007
Return-Path: <[email protected]>
Delivered-To: [email protected]
Received: (qmail 28172 invoked from network); 26 Aug 2007 16:55:26 +0200
Nothing to find in logs except this line:
spamc[3957]: skipped message, greater than max message size (256000 bytes)

It's unreproducible for me, why the messages are not delivered.

Has anyone experiences with this problem?
Thanks a lot.

Qsheff seems to be the Problem. Any idea what to you instead?
