  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Scheduled Tasks Don't Send Email After Qmail Update

Hi,

I seem to be having some problems with the scheduled tasks (crontab) not sending out emails after I updated the Qmail mail server.

I was trying to get something else to work and read on these forums to carry out the steps indicated at: http://forum.parallels.com/showpost.php?p=333843&postcount=3. So I did, and after adding the repository I did a

yum upgrade

And the following packages were upgraded (taken from yum.log):

Apr 18 20:14:46 Updated: syslinux-3.75-1.el5.rf.i386
Apr 18 22:09:33 Installed: expect-5.43.0-5.1.i386
Apr 18 22:10:20 Installed: rrdtool-1.2.30-1.el5.rf.i386
Apr 18 22:10:20 Installed: perl-rrdtool-1.2.30-1.el5.rf.i386
Apr 18 22:54:18 Updated: courier-imap-3.0.8-cos5.build90090127.18.i586
Apr 18 22:54:27 Updated: 1:psa-qmail-1.03-cos5.build90090127.18.i586
Apr 18 22:54:27 Updated: psa-qmail-rblsmtpd-0.70-cos5.build90090127.18.i586
Apr 18 22:54:27 Installed: cyrus-sasl-md5-2.1.22-4.i386
Apr 18 22:54:35 Installed: 2:postfix-2.3.3-2.1.el5_2.i386
Apr 18 22:55:45 Updated: psa-mail-driver-common-9.0.1-cos5.build90090127.18.i586
Apr 18 22:55:46 Installed: cyrus-sasl-sqlite3-1.0.0-0.275094.i386
Apr 18 22:57:34 Installed: psa-mail-pc-driver-1.0.0-cos5.build90090127.18.i586
Apr 18 22:57:36 Erased: psa-mail-qc-driver

And now when a cron task runs, it doesn't send out an email containing the output of the command to the specified address, even though it was working fine before the above packages were upgraded. Cron is running, since the commands are executed like they should be, and I can send and receive email fine via my mail client and through webmail.

Any idea why the above upgrades have broken crontabs ability to send out email? I have even tried changing the email addresses in the Scheduled Tasks section of Plesk but it still doesn't work.

Cheers,
Daniel.
