  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question security recommendations (antivirus)

Goodfred

Basic Pleskian
Hello!

We are thinking about purchasing antivirus for Plesk.
We wan't to secure the whole Plesk servers we have.
Can you give me recommendations?

I think in generall we need antivirus, Fail2Ban and a firewall.

Should we use ImunifyAV from the Plesk extensions or should we use ImmunifyAV from the product components tab? (they are similar?)
Is ImunifyAV a complete antivirus solution that for we don't need additional antivirus procuts? (it scans everything like mails and files and etc.? - it seems like that it does)

I think it should be enough to use ImunifyAV with Fail2Ban and firewall.
But I would be happy to see your recommendations and ideas 1st.
(and maybe ideas for alternatives)

Im thankful for answers and I stay with kind regards
Goodfred

Hmm, ok! Thank you!

I hoped to find an all in one solution.
We will think about it. (ImunifyAV in combination with Plesk Premium Antivirus)

It seems like Plesk Premium Antivirus doesn't scan files out of the mails! :D

Thank you anyway! :D

We will think about it!
