Hello,

I have a server with openSUSE 11 (X86-64), Plesk 9.5.2, kernel Linux 2.6.25.20-0.5-default and PHP 5.2.11.

I found following errors in the messages:

sw-engine-cgi[4330]: segfault at 18 ip 6efea2 sp 7fffc581c620 error 4 in sw-engine-cgi[400000+6f6000]
httpd-prefork[17582]: segfault at 7fff36d47ff8 ip 7f5229adc59f sp 7fff36d48000 error 6 in mod_php5.so

How can I fix it?

Do you have any related errors in /var/log/sw-cp-server/error_log ?

No I can't find there any related errors.
The only error I found is: "Error: Skipping oversized log record"

httpd-prefork[17582]: segfault at 7fff36d47ff8 ip 7f5229adc59f sp 7fff36d48000 error 6 in mod_php5.so

I'm not sure that it is related to Plesk, It seems like php5 handler segfaults periodically on apache.
I think that this complex problem should be detailed investigated directly on your server. Therefore I suggest you contact support team.

Yes exactly.
Caused of that I want to update the installed PHP version.
I found the howto http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=102598, but I don't know if I can use it with openSUSE.

EDIT:
I found out I can't use it with openSUSE and I found the information, that Plesk haven't own PHP packages http://kb.odin.com/en/6284, so I can update the PHP version with the native update commands.

By the way: Why aren't my posts visible instantly?

Another issue now, how can I reinstall plesk?
Because of the dist upgrade there are missing some users and the folder permission aren't correct any more.
Using the autoinstaller doesn't help.

There is no special procedure for Plesk uninstallation. You can try to remove all psa* rpm packages with usual 'rpm -e packagename.rpm' method and then install it back with autoinstaller. But I think it is not good idea. I think that fresh OS and Plesk reinstallation will be much more better.
