• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Issue Serious problems after a DDoS attack

ivellios1988

New Pleskian
Yesterday around 9:00 PM Polish time, my server has been DDoS'ed and since then it stoped working correctly.

Symptoms:
- httpd and mariadb were going down shortly after restart, websites showed 502 error messages
- plesk panel is completely dead, even if I restart it using 'service psa restart' it dies a moment later
- because the database doesn't work at all (well, it works when I restart mariadb but it dies ome seconds or minutes later), I'm unable to do anything, can't fix anything because of constant [2002] errors

After attempts to fix Apache, all my websites ceased to work completely, producing errors 'ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED'

Check that you have enough disk space left. A DDoS attack may have lead to very large log files that consume so much disk space that not enough space is left for temporary service files.

Check the logs of the services, e.g. /var/log/messages, /var/log/httpd/error_log etc. to find out details why the services are crashing.
