Hello Community
I recently decided to give Plesk my support and moved a single business website over.
Some things to know.
1. I used VULTR to get a plesk server on Ubuntu 18.04
2. I upgraded the plan from 2gb to 4GB of RAM - this also increased the disk image size.
3. I may have restarted the server when I shouldn't have
4. I have a snapshot thats 4 days old, but a bunch of info/orders inside woo commerce I need to get back.
5. I kept the server updated and secure as a priority.
I need to work out why I cant get mySQL/MariaDB to start, I've tried every solution I could find, and if it didn't work.
I'm not a server admin, but I can normally figure my own issues out through reading forums.
Ive tried to
1. manually start the sql service with
2. use the repair kit at www.domain.com/repair
3. restart the server
4.
This one has me stumped, I've considered rolling back to the snapshot from 4 days ago, and then restoring from backup I have of Wordpress on Google Drive, but before I do that, I think it would be worth a shot here. So please throw in your 2 cents.
Ive been logging in via console via VULTR and SFTP to check files match with what they should.
Finally Im willing to pay a little bit for some support, but not too much because its a new small business, and I recently lost my life savings.. yep!
Ive been awake 8 hours past my bedtime already trying to fix it.
Im tempted to go down the path of pulling the last data out of wordpress and the databases which I have a copy of via SFTP.
But the problem is Ive never tried to do that, and I need to get the website back up for the public asap.
