Server migration always fails

Hello,

I have two Plesk servers, both using version 11.5.30. I'm trying to migrate one to another. I choose to migrate all the server besides the server settings and the licence file. I've also tried the option to select the customers I want to migrate. The migration tool connect to the old server, I map the IP, the migration start correctly, but keep failing at the end. The log file is always empty. My licence file is correct, and I've installed all the services available in the previous server. I have a Debian 7.1 64 bits on my server. Where else should I look to fix this problem, please ?

Thank you

Hi,

I've spent about 5 hours on moving servers 11.5.30#13
Backup on server A - copy data to server B - load data on server B
every time it fails IF there is a password associated with the object
Domain, customer, subscription is created, but the emails are missing, there is no hosting associated with the domains and so on
if i manually run the command i get the error message about PSA_PASSWORD .. if i do export PSA_PASSWORD=x and run the command it works fine

(Centos 6)

Regards,
Steve

Plesk migration in my view is still very unstable ...I have never been successful 100% with plesk migrations, at some stage I always have to do something manually ..either all data is moved except httpdocs or everything is moved except databases, one something always breaks ...

So my suggestion is you need to accept the challenge and manually migrate the missing data, this will save you a lot of time googling ...

I've finally done it with Plesk backup. I've made a backup of the old server, made a map of it with pleskrestore --create-map on the new server, and restored everything with the Plesk backup manager in of the new server.
