• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Hi there,

I am encountering a problem that I am concluding has something to do with Plesk 8 because I had the exact same sites running on a Plesk 7 box and there was no intermitent slow down. I have disabled the 15minute backup cron and I have disabled drweb.

There is no significant load or memory that happens when this problem occurs. There is also no problem with traceroute or ping. I must conclude that it is then a hard drive seek that is causing it.

Another note is that sites that do not use Mysql run fine during this time, but sites that do use mysql slow down, as does the ability to sign into SSH. It takes about 25 seconds to log into SSh when this is happening.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem is?

Thanks.

This problem has been still happening and no one seems to know what it is... Anyone experienced similar problems?
