server stops during the update process of drweb

I apologize in advance for my bad English

My server (Centos / Virtuozzo / Plesk 8.0.1) during the execution of update process of drweb (crontab user drweb, command update.pl) stops for 4 minutes. So the websites are not attainable for 4 minutes.

Drweb advise to execute the update process two times in the hour. Is there a possibility of adjusting the server so that he runs also during the update process from drweb?
