  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Server wide backup to FTP without huge free disk space

Nicolas Karlen

New Pleskian
Hello,

I want to make scheduled full backup of my server to an external FTP. Just want to backup the system and plesk files / configs without the subscriptions folders. But my server have not enough free space.

I didn't found an answer to this question:

Is there a way to use the server-wide backup fonctionnality (Tools and parameters > Backup manager) to a ftp storage without storing backup temp files localy ? Maybe by deactivating files compression for server wide backups only ?

Or using rsync and curlftpfs ? Any advice on that ?

Cheers
