  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

New Pleskian
Hello,

On a fresh installed server, I have a problem with PHP. I can't start the session, it gives me this error:

Warning: session_start(): open(/var/lib/php/session/{sessionid{, O_RDWR) failed: Permission denied (13) in {phpfile} on line 5
Warning
: session_start(): Failed to read session data: files (path: /var/lib/php/session) in {phpfile} on line 5

Server: CentOS 8 with Plesk Obsidian 18.0.30
Does anyone know how this can be fixed?
Thank you!

Check that you have correct permissions there and SELinux is disabled:

# stat /var/lib/php/session
File: '/var/lib/php/session'
Size: 4096 Blocks: 8 IO Block: 4096 directory
Device: 1bh/27d Inode: 55592081 Links: 2
Access: (1733/drwx-wx-wt) Uid: ( 0/ root) Gid: ( 0/ root)

[root@ppu18-0 ~]# getenforce
Disabled

SELinux is enabled.

[root@secure7 ~]# getenforce
Enforcing

Does SELinux have to be disabled for plesk to run? Is this mentioned in the install instructions?
