Question Set default nameservers for all domains?

XCore

New Pleskian
Server operating system version
Ubuntu 22.04
Plesk version and microupdate number
Plesk Obsidian 18.0.65 Update #2
I'm confused about how to set the default nameservers for all domains added to Plesk.
All my domains at the registrar use the same name servers which are in Plesk.
I've edited the Zone Records Template so that A records for NS1 and NS2 resolve to their respective IPs.
The NS records have the correct Value but when it's applied, each domain in the system still ends up with ns1/ns2.itsdomain.foo instead of ns1/ns2.correctnameserver.foo.
If I add the nameserver to the host, the domain ends up with correctnameserver.foo.itsdomain.foo

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

I suspect you are missing a dot at the end of the NS records from the DNS template.

In the DNS zone, you can have the record "test" but it will automatically append the domain name.
However, adding the record test.domain.tld. will not append the domain name.
The same is valid for the DNS record values.

Thanks for the reply.
Plesk adds that dot automatically and if I try to add it manually I get an error.

Here is an example of my server, where I also use the same set of external NSes for all domains. When I create a new domain in Plesk, it inherits these settings correctly. To check, have you configured a template in the same manner?
