• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

TITLE

Setting a domain to "no hosting" stops webmail working

PRODUCT, VERSION, OPERATING SYSTEM, ARCHITECTURE

Plesk Obsidian 18.0.25

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION

I set up a domain and an email address, set up webmail to use RoundCube, and checked that the webmail link icon for the email address worked.

I then changed the domain to "no hosting" and found that the webmail link icon resulted in a blank page with the works "File not found".

Removing the domain and reinstating it with an email address as before made the link work again. Changing the domain to "no hosting" made the link fail again.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. Add a domain.
2. Add an email address to the domain.
3. Set the domain to use RoundCube for webmail (not sure if this step is significant or not).
4. Test the webmail link takes you to the RoundCube login page.
5. Change the domain to "no hosting".
6. Test the webmail link again.

ACTUAL RESULT

Step 4 above gives you the RoundCube login page.

Step 6 above gives you a blank page with the words "File not found" on it.

EXPECTED RESULT

Step 6 should also give you the RoundCube login page.
