Setting up DNS

Hello, I am having problems setting up DNS for a domain.

I have added two A records. ns1.domain.com and ns2.domain.com both with the associating IP.

My registrar wont let me change to these DNS names, becuase it says they do not exist.

Then I tried using ZoneEdit for DNS and that did not work either..

Could anyone tell me how to get this DNS working....

Thank You!

You also have to register the nameservers at the registrar company. Please either search these forums (it's been covered several times), or see your domain registrar's instructions about "Registering new nameservers"

DNS

Plesk only runs on one ip. If you are using it as a nameserver too, then you will have to edit /etc/named.conf and add your ns1 and ns2 with the right two ip's, which should be different and also make zone records for them, or zone files. You can't add them in the plesk control panel that way.
