• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Issue SFTP is not available for System User for Subscription

New Pleskian
I have an Ubuntu VPS server running on an Amazon Lightsail instance with Plesk Obsidian installed. I can connect to the server via SSH and FTP using the user account specified by Amazon Lightsail, but I cannot SSH or FTP into the server using the system account of the subscription. I can SSH into the server with the user account specified by Amazon Lightsail, and then su to the system user account, but I can't log in initially using the system user account. When I try to FTP into the server using my FileZilla FTP client configured to log in using the system user account, I get as permission denied error. I have FileZilla configured to SFTP into the server using a key file.
