Single directory for SSL not working after upgrade to 9.5.3

I have several hosted sites on this server and one of them is not serving SSL out of the common HTTPDOCS directory. This happened right after I upgraded to 9.5.3. Everytime I try to use the HTTPS of the URL I get a '404' error unless I upload an index.html file. This was working fine prior to upgrade. Where do I start?
