Question Slow PLESK 12.5 server - whats the holdup ?

Syswatch

New Pleskian
Hello Guys,
I am running a shared webserver for a couple of companies.... And suddenly it is becoming very slow.
Its an WMWare server with Cloudlinux 7,1 and plesk 12,5 - its has 3 cores and 6gb ram.
What is the optimal configuration for a shared server with CPU and RAM ?

Anyway...
I am testing with the domain: http://campingkort.dk/ - A test site that I have installed.
It seems like Apache or something is sleeping, waiting for something ? I am not a linux expert... So I wounder if anyone here can tell me how to troubleshoot the problem, or maybe tweak Plesk for best apache configuration.

Thanks

Hi Syswatch,

And suddenly it is becoming very slow.
"slow" - compared to what?

I am testing with the domain: http://campingkort.dk/
Pls. provide test results and provide as well the information HOW you test, if you would like decent suggestions or help for your investigations.

It seems like Apache or something is sleeping, waiting for something ?
Well, overlooking the test - result from GTmetrix for example ( https://gtmetrix.com/reports/campingkort.dk/oZ3ivQjn ), you should consider to follow the suggestions, to improve your webpage - speed.

Try to use caching.
Try to use gzip - compression.
Try to reduce file - sizes.
Try to combine CSS and scipting - files and minify it.
Try to use a CDN.

When using wordpress, consider to reduce unused and unnecessary plugins.

Try to use nginx as well, which will definetly boost you webpage - speed.
Change the PHP - handler ( and the PHP - version ) in order to see, if another one serves your webpages faster.

Test webpage - speeds with different test - pages ( https://tools.pingdom.com / https://gtmetrix.com / https://www.webpagetest.org ) and different locations and follow the suggestions.
