  • Support for BIND DNS has been removed from Plesk for Windows due to security and maintenance risks.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS.

Some feature Request.

Plesk is pretty good just I have some feature request. Some of it is just stuff I have been haveing trouble with.

In plesk there is a option to add password protection to http and https directories. Can there be a option to add password protection to cgi-bin and subdomain folders also?

Also can there be a option to have one directory for cgi-bin, http, and https docs?

The first one I really would like to see in a future upgrade. The second one is just a thought of how it would be easier to handle one directory instead of several. I have been haveing trouble protecting my cgi-bin folder in plesk as you can see. This is the main reason for these request. I have been trying to work with the plesk control panel on this but everytime I add a .htaccess file into the cgi-bin directory it suddenly disappears from my sight even though the file is actually there. Makeing it harder for me to work on.

At this time you can protect only httpdocs and httpsdocs. If you want to protect cgi-bin you have to do it in command line, which can be a mess to manage. This will be improved.
