• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Spam Assassin training bug

Hi, I've been getting an awful lot of spam lately, so I left my email for a couple of days and logged into the server and training it some spam. However ... it appears to not be learning!

I tested this by sending a spammy email from another account - training it as spam.

Then I open my email client and it downloads the msg anyway. OK - perhaps it doesn't delete the msg's marked as spam, so I tried sending the same msg again that I've now trained SA with and guess what? The msg is delivered straight to my email client! The sending a/c isn't on a whitelist so how come it didn't learn?

Is my SA broken? It's stats are:-
Messages learned: 5226 as spam, 7709 as non-spam, 12935 total.

Or do I need to drop the database and start again? Why does this state occur?

Thanks for any tips

Sa 2010

It's a problem with msg's not getting learned as spam, not really anything to with the 2010 link you've posted above.

I've heard from a colleague that SA stops working when it's database gets too big; anyone experienced this? Or am I feeding it incorrectly? I'm not really sure how it's going wrong - I can't even see any SA headers in the spam received in my inbox.
