spam protection based on DNS blackhole lists

Sheeko

New Pleskian
Hi Everyone!

Will appreciate your insights. I have configured the DNS zones for DNSBL service as follows;

"zen.spamhaus.org;b.barracudacentral.org;bl.spamcop.net"

but I continue to to get spam from ip adressess that are confirmed as blacklisted at the above zones by testing them at http://network-tools.com/

Is there something that I have missed in the config.

Thanks!

Check your mail headers for...

X-Spam-Status: URI_BLOCKED

I think that was the error I saw the other day, it means the spam check couldn't resolve the url of the spam db.
To fix I just made sure the server was using 127.0.0.1 as the first name server.

Just a hunch, hope it helps
Kind regards

Lloyd
