Spamassassin problem

I have looked aroung this site and can't find the answer to my problem.

I recently purchased the Spamassassin upgrade for Plesk 7.5 on a Fedora Core 3 Box. I had to upgrade Spamassassin to version 3.1.7 to use the automatic updates, to do this I also had to upgrade a couple of libs namely io-zlib.

When any of my clients go into the control panel and attempt to train their mailbox they get lots of errors.

Spam filtering does not seem to work, I have it enabled in the control panel for server wide and personal.

Any help greatly appreciated

John
