SPF with short mail names

I am trying to enable SPF-protection but can't save my settings (SPF enabled, reject mails resolved to SPF fail) because I get the error "Unable to allow the use of short mail names for POP3/IMAP accounts. There are mail names matching the encrypted passwords." (POP works fine although)

How can I force SPF without changing settings for mail names?

All you need to do is identify the accounts with the duplicate passwords, change the passwords (notify client first!) and you will then be OK.
