Regular Pleskian
FTP is a very old transfer technology with a lot of security problem.

Why don't enable directly SSH or SFTP on Plesk by default or by a simple way?

It's very difficult to enable it now

I'm loosing a lot of time to find how to enable it on plesk 12 and still not undestanding why do not work.
If anyone know how to enable it from the panel please help me.

A KB - article has been released for such issues:

SFTP does not work for primary domain user with chrooted shell on Ubuntu 12.04 ( KB - article 114 756 )
even the title might not regard other operating systems, the solutions are provided for Parallels Plesk 11.x for Linux and Parallels Plesk 10.x for Linux
and should work for version 12 as well. If it doesn't, please provide some errors/issues, so that we might suggest some suggestions to solve them.

SSH can be enabled as described in the KB - article 122 286:

solved thank you.

For other user that have some problem

1° enable SSH mode in FTP configuration
(in Power User Panel) is in the "Home" page:

Websites & Domains

in the first line is there "FTP access" choose or create the user and than set
FTP

(bin bhash Chrooted)

femotvaff,

Plesk12 server's admin can set server-wide behavior for FTP server -
  • Allow only secure FTPS connections
  • Allow both secure FTPS and non-secure FTP connections
  • Allow only non-secure FTP connections. Do not use FTPS
