• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

SSL Certificate for shared hosting customer? (mail, web-mail, website)

Basic Pleskian
Hi guy,

I've a question:
Now I'm using CentOS 6.4 with Plesk Panel version 11.0.9 Update #53 with Qmail. One of our customers need to have certificate for their website and their email server. And now we have to configure for them:

- With shared IP address:
+ How can we configure for them with shared IP address?, how about other site using the same IP if I want to use default certificate for other site?
+ How many certificate we need to configure SSL certificate for Mail Server (qmail) - Webmail - Webserver? (1 for all or 3 certificate?)
+ How can we configure SSL certificate for this Customer only? (Qmail)

- With dedicated IP address:
+ I saw an options to change default certificate to Custom Certificate for a single IP, but will it affected to all Mail Server(Qmail) - Webmail - Webserver?
+ How many certificate we need to configure SSL certificate for Mail Server (qmail) - Webmail - Webserver? (1 for all or 3 certificate?)
+ How can we configure SSL certificate for this Customer only? (Qmail)

Thank you for your all support and happy new year!

First of all read more about SNI feature which makes it possible to use authentic SSL certificates for sites hosted on shared IP addresses - http://download1.parallels.com/Ples...inistrator-guide/index.htm?fileName=68308.htm
Regarding Qmail SSL certificate this article may be useful - http://kb.parallels.com/1062

Thank You so much for your quick reply. I understand about SNI case and can do for Shared IP and Dedicated IP.
But with my understanding about this article, SSL Certificate only can assigned for whole server? Can't assign for a Single Subscription?
