Statistics.exe (Error code 32) at DeleteFile

After upgrading to 8.2 I'm getting the following error on several domains when the scheduled task Statistics calculation:

The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. (Error code 32) at DeleteFile 'C:\inetpub\vhosts\domain.com\statistics\logs\W3SVC14607\ex070903.log'

I can't find any help on this on these boards. Any thoughts?

The solution I found was to go into the domain which is mentioned in the error and delete the logfile.

Maybe we have different problems, because that didn't work for me.

If the site has been accessed recently, then the log file is locked by IIS7, so it can't be deleted by statistics.exe or manually via Windows Explorer.

Even if the log file could be deleted manually, IIS would start a new one and lock it as soon as there was a request. Also, I don't want to delete the log files and lose the stats.
