  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

statistics update failing

Superkikim

Regular Pleskian
Hi,

When I start the statistics script manually to update a domain it updates the awstats data correctly, but then fail with the following message:

statistics: idn_toascii() failed: Stringprep error
statistics: idn_toascii() failed: Stringprep error

How can I troubleshoot this ?

It looks like there are some incorrect symbols in apache logs or in maillog. I have not found any mentions about such errors in our internal resources. I have found only errors like

tatistics: idn_toascii() failed: Invalid length
statistics: idn_toascii() failed: Invalid length

This error is caused by the following line from maillog:
Jul 30 15:25:23 94 imapd: 1248963923.114020 LOGOUT, ip=[127.0.0.1], rcvd=17, sent=98, maildir=/etc/httpd/conf.d/ssl.conf

Base maildir is '/var/qmail/mailnames/'. 'statistics' skips length of this base maildir in '/etc/httpd/conf.d/ssl.conf' and treats '.conf' as domain name. But '.' isn't permitted in domain names as first char and idn_toascii() fails on this.

Sorry to reopen, but I'm getting this error;
statistics: idn_toascii() failed: Punycode error

Any hints on what to look for?
