• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.

  • We’re working on enhancing the Monitoring feature in Plesk, and we could really use your expertise! If you’re open to sharing your experiences with server and website monitoring or providing feedback, we’d love to have a one-hour online meeting with you.

Strange mysql users

EduardoG

Basic Pleskian
Hi all, I'm a little bit worried about this. I've discovered three mysql users created at mysql with names like bug115166_XXXXX (where X are digits)
This is a simple plesk9 installation over a redhat machine.

Is this something about psa updates? is there a bug? is it a hack?

I have checked my Plesk 9 test environment with all updates and not found such users in mysql database. Looks like it is not related to Plesk.

Be careful. Create dump of database before deletion just in case.

Sure! my first command was a mysqldump ;-)
But thanks for your advice

P.S. I've grep'ed everywhere for those usernames and found nothing. Strange...
