Strange Qmail Problem - PLZ READ

Hello,

since we migrated more and more Server with Plesk into VPS Server we see that we got more QMAIL Problems that our business is damaging hard:

We created a VPS Server with SUS9.3 Template and installed Plesk from Archiv.

After that, we see Qmail is working for a few hours/days. Then, customer is saying to us, they sending emails out, got NO ERROR, but emails are notdelivering to receip.

So, they wrote from a yahoo account to itself, and the mail is under /qmail/mailnames, but they didn´t see it under webmailer or in outlook.

Now we restartet the SMTP/QMAIL Service in Plesk Admin Panel, after that, all mails are coming in and out!

So what the hell is the problem of Qmail/Plesk?

We opened several ticket, but Support said to us, they didn´t find anything! Logs are ok and so on ..

Now we decided to change the OS to DEBIAN 3.1 Template under Virtuozzo, and we have the same issue here.

Has someone the same or iam the only one?

Hello,

Have you checked the mail logs and qmail queue.
It can be that there is heavy spamming and the queues contain enormous number of mails and cause delivery delay of 2-3 days and thus feeling of failure.

No this is not hte problem!

Read my text again, this is strange internal qmail problem!

You need to check your qmail maillog file for logs as to whats happening, to even see if the mail is hitting the server at all, or if theres permission issues when it does, etc.

check the /usr/local/psa/var/log/maillog file.
