subscription expiration notification emails not sent and subscriprions do not expire

As the title says. it has been a while that subscription expiration notification emails stopped being sent (others like "Notification of the site creation" work fine) and subscriptions that have expired are not automatically suspended.
could be after an automatic update but i am not sure.

Please check in Tools&Settings->Notifications that you have enabled notification for "Subscription expiration" and "Subscription expiration warning" and re-enable it. Also try to run manually maintenance script with

# /usr/local/psa/bin/sw-engine-pleskrun /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/DailyMaintainance/script.php

and check how it goes on.
