• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Ok, This uninstallation instruction applies to plesk 8.6

the major issue on the unsuccessful plesk uninstallation is that the myodbc driver can not be automatically uninstall, therefore, the uninstall process is hanging there.

Preparation:
1-1. Stop All services through plesk monitor, the little icon on your windows taskbar
1-2. Stop indexing services
2. go to add/remove program and select parallels plesk 8.6
- make sure you check off the options on the add/remove program saying "show updates" and then
- remove all plesk updates
- click on "change"
- try to change all installed component as not to install it if it has an option that you can select as "do not install" or something like that ( we are trying to remove all components uninstallation error during the uninstallation process )

- Erase all c:/windows/system32/myodbc*.*
- use windows installer cleanup utitlity and remove "myodbc connection drive"
5. go back to add/remove program, and this time click on remove in order to remove all registry and plesk

Cleanup
1. delete plesk folders
2. delete websites folders where you setup the websites within plesk ( optional )

you will need to use ccleaner to check application path and obsolete application registry, if you see anyting saying plesk, then delete that registry

Vola, there you go, uninstall plesk without ruine your windows server.

Additional Instruction:
Before you delete plesk folder, please disable hostingservices.exe process, otherwise you will not be able to delete that folder.
