Super Administrator, Digishop and OBD values

Before reading this, note I am a business owner and have a VERY steep learning curve about servers and sites after my web guy took off (with the money) and deleted our servers. We lost EVERYTHING.

I am now frantically trying to get things back on track and we are trying to upload 'SumEffects Digishop' software and a backup of our old website to the new server running Plesk but cannot seem to create the following directory: /var/www/vhosts/bugbam.com:/tmp

Apparently we need to set the Open Base Directory Values to Zero or None (whichever is relevant). It says something about a Super Administrator being able to do these things, but no such option was offered at any stage of the initial setup and GoDaddy (the re-seller) is NO help.

Have tried everything possible to no avail and the Sum Effects team cannot do the upload without this directory in place.

Does anyone know how to do this? It has become quite urgent. I have a great tech person who knows servers but is unfamiliar with Plesk.

Thank you in advance.

Joseph

Joseph,

How did you try to upload the site content??? ssh/ftp?

what access level do you have to your Plesk server?

If I understood you correctly, you need to move your sites to Plesk. Am I wrong?
