• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Support for RHEL 6

jj05

Basic Pleskian
The long awaited RHEL 6 has finally been released after almost 4 years from the previous version.

RHEL 5 mainstream support will end in only 3 years time (March 31, 2014). So any new Plesk server that I install will become unsupported in 3 years time.

A shared server with hundreds of users can be around for 10 years or more. For me installing an operating system that will be obsolete in 3 years for a new server would be foolish, therefore I will have to hold on buying Plesk until RHEL 6 support becomes available.

Please make support RHEL 6 (and CentOS 6) a top priority.

RHEL 6 and CentOS 6 will be supported mandatory but I haven't any information when they will be supported.

RedHat Enterprise Linux 4.0-6.0

Any status on OpenVZ support?

Tried the unofficial Scientific Linux 6 OpenVZ template (which like Centos, is just RHEL recompiled from source), but the Plesk RHEL6 installer refuses to install.

Installation will not continue because your operating system
"RedHat Linux 6.0 i686 under vz" is not supported.
