• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

switch db in plesk 7.6.1

New Pleskian
Hi.

Recently I had to recover a crashed server with version 7.6.1. The old server had the psa databse in Mysql but the new Plesk installed in a new server installed a Jet database.

It works but I prefer to work with Mysql or MSSQL rather than a Jet db. The reconfigurator.exe program installed does not have the option to switch from databse providers.

Is it possible to switch from one db to another without upgrading?

Thank you.

fbenavent,

Unfortunately, this was not supported in Plesk 7.6.1, and if you want a database provider switch, the fastes way would be an upgrade to at least Plesk 8. With the usual precautions, of course.
