New Pleskian
Hi guys,

Right now I am working on a webpage hosted with Plesk. FYI I am not really included in the hosting process but are just the webdeveloper working on the site, though I have access to the Plesk admin panel and should be handling everything on my own if possible. The page I am working on is being relaunched with new layout, new design and new CMS. Right now it is just a few static HTML pages which are running live. For the new version I created a subdomain to the original domain and I am building the new site on there with Joomla. As it is a subdomain, I am using the same database that is in use on the live site. So my question is this: Will the steps that are described in the staging tutorial in the last step

  1. Go to Websites & Domains.
  2. In the list of domain names, locate the address of your production site and click it.
  3. In the Document root box, specify the document root directory of the staging site.
  4. Click OK.
that means just switching the root folder of the live site (containing the old static HTML pages) to the folder I am working on my staging (containing the Joomla installation and all new data) right now be all I have to do for my staging site to be live? Thanks in advance!

Kind regards,
Peter
