• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.
  • We’re working on enhancing the Monitoring feature in Plesk, and we could really use your expertise! If you’re open to sharing your experiences with server and website monitoring or providing feedback, we’d love to have a one-hour online meeting with you.

Tasks in progress bug.

Desarrollo LIV

New Pleskian
Hello!

When I execute a task in the plesk panel, appears a popup with the following:

101e6ef590.png

But I can't remove it, I have that popup 2 weeks and I don't know how to disable it.

Please, I need help with it.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

I have the same problem, and despite many various manipulation (process stops, many restarts), the problem persists

Anyone has had this problem?

Thanks !

Hi Maxime Carrillo,

pls. consider to investigate the current pid - file for the task and kill the pid with the command "kill -9 PID-NUMBER" over your command line. Afterwards, pls. logout from your current Plesk Control Panel session and login again to see, if the issue/problem still exists.

Another way could be to restart psa ( "service psa restart" ) over the command line, or as last "fast and dirty" tip, you could consider to restart your server.

Hi and thank you for your reply
How to find the pid number for the tasks ?
With ps -x but how to recognize which one is good ? I have 5 tasks in progress and all are kept at 0 %
Thanks you

Hi Maxime Carrillo,

have a look at the example image on the first post... you actually can see parts of the commands over your Plesk Control Panel. Use "ps aux | grep PART_OF_THE_COMMAND" to identify the pid(s) which have to be killed.

Hi Mr,
After many psa restart and hard reboot for my dedicated server, I still have the same sh*t :

If I do ps aux, I have this :
Code:

I'm unable to find the good process, I tried so many

Thanks you !

Try to find these tasks in the output of

mysql> select * from longtasks;

and remove them from this table.

Hi Igor thanks you for your reply, It worked fine !
But when I want to export the dump of a database again, It's always stuck at 0% :(
The number of tables and size are calculated : Tables: 305 Size: 245 MB, but each tasks in progress doesn't work
Do you have an idea ?

Thanks again

Try to do it through phpmyadmin instead of "Import Dump" in Plesk interface.

Hi there,
I have quite the same problem with Maximme. I have clicked the "check and repair" button, just for test what will happen in my database. But now I have three tasks that are running for two weeks. I have already tried to restart the server, plesk, or to find something typing ps aux. Can anyone help me?
I uploaded also a screenshot. Thanks a lot...!

Hi,
You can remove the task by finding it on Plesk database : mysql> select * from long tasks;
But if you start one again, they still not working and looping forever…

You can't even start it ?
Sometimes I have Error 504 from nginx, but I don't know why and tried every possible solution from Google, never succeed…
You have an error ?

Yes all tasks are run in looping without error.

I must to stop tasks which are running manually.

I think that the better is to reinstall plesk !

Sorry for my bad english !
