timeouts with big mail attachments

My clients are complaining of difficulties to download mail attachments bigger than 1Mo.

While trying to fix the problem I noticed that the size of attachments are displayed wrongly.
They are announced bigger than they really are.
I don't know if it's related.

I didn't modify the courrier-imap and courier-pop3 config files except for raising the maximum number of allowed connexions.

Server is on a Fedora Core 1
(Jeez,Will the debian version come out one day ??)

Any idea to fix this anyone ?
