  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

TLS not running after upgrade to Plesk 10.3.1

Regular Pleskian
I just wasted another hour fixing Plesk issues after updates. We just updated a Plesk 10.1 server to 10.3.1 and after that TLS no longer was running. After much searching it was found that the Plesk updater has renamed /etc/xinetd/submission_psa to /etc/xinetd/submission.psa, and it seems that xinetd doesn't execute files with dots in them. Changed dot to underscore, restarted xinetd, problem solved.

I really wish Parallels QC would work harder, these endless gotcha's whenever we upgrade Plesk is really the pits!

(Centos 5.6, dedicated server)
